Interested in Transport Career ???

Many pathways come from the first step…..

Love driving? – truck drivers get paid to drive and trained right to do it well

Love IT/Computers? – from telemetric systems tracking every km travelled and every litre of fuel used, to the in cab communications and customer delivery systems, to the planning and route systems used – tech is everywhere in Transport and growing every day

Love problem solving/puzzles? – getting trucks from A to Z and everywhere in between requires attention to detail, planning and fitting all the pieces together to make a plan, logistics is all about problem solving and making all the right moves to keep the wheels turning

Love design/building/fixing? – many transport companies run their own engineering and mechanical workshops to keep outsourcing costs low.  Moving into training in one of these areas is an option after learning what the vehicles do out on the road.

Love people? – transport is all about people, and looking after them is becoming more a focus for the industry – health and safety, team wellbeing and finding the right fit for the team, along with training and developing next generation drivers is high on the agenda for the future of our industry.

Great communicator? - Working with those behind the wheel and getting the right information across is vital to a business and a despatcher is a key link in the chain. Sharing ideas, communicating with customers, and building a strong team are all skills operation team members need

Want to be your own boss? – becoming an owner driver and running your own business is a reality for many in the industry and is very achievable within a relatively short amount of time once you have support and backing and have learned from the ground up

Sales, marketing, financial management, systems analyst, accounting and administration management, website and social media marketing………all have a place within the transport industry
